The course is suitable for anyone interested in horse welfare and who wants to learn how a horse's myofascial system works to stay healthy.


Horse owners

Do you want to understand your horse better, learn to recognize injuries, and support a healthy training process? Then this course offers you practical tools to guide your own horse in a safe and effective manner.

What does the course entail?

Our comprehensive training offers you the perfect combination of theory and practice to specialize in fascia!


You will be trained by veterinarian Karin Leibbrandt and other expert instructors who have all specialized in their field.


You will learn everything about the horse's myofascial system and about the anatomy and biomechanics of the horse. In addition, you will learn how to use fascial massage on horses.


Upon completion of the training, you will be able to:

  • To understand and recognize the anatomy and biomechanics of horses.
  • To communicate with owners and other professionals.
  • To perform safe and professional fascial massages.
  • To provide advice on well-being, training, tack, and management.

The full program is two years.

In year 1 we lay a solid foundation, in year 2 we delve deeper.


Knowledge and competencies

You delve into, among other things:
- Various massage techniques
- Anatomy and function of the musculoskeletal system (skeleton, muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia)
- Biomechanics of balance, lateral flexion, core stability, and movement coordination
- Structure and function of the lower leg, lower foot, hoof, and digestive system
- Recognizing signals that may indicate discomfort or reduced load capacity
- The importance of collaboration and timely referral to a veterinarian or other specialists
- Responsible training structure and load capacity

Diploma

Upon successful completion, you will receive the diploma: 4D Fascia Method 1


Upon completion of 4D Fascia Method 1, you can already obtain insurance as a masseur. If you wish to deepen your knowledge, you can progress to Year 2.

Locations


The main locations where the practical lessons are held are in Gouda and Soest. Coffee and tea with a treat are available on every practical day.


Should we unexpectedly have to move to another location, this will preferably be in the Central Netherlands. This will be communicated in advance.
