4D Intensive day
Would you like to join us for a day of intensive training?
During a 4D Intensive Day, Karin Leibbrandt and Tessa Roos (Rijkunst in Beweging) join forces.
Tessa provides training for riders and theoretical participants on Joker and explains the interaction between rider balance and the horse's balance.
Karin trains riders (or ground workers) and takes you through the how and why of training in the 4 dimensions (4D).
As a participant in the practice you will receive:
- 45 minutes Joker training by Tessa, with 2 people at the same time, in which all riding exercises from the online training are combined into one functional movement pattern
- Individual advice for your balance in the saddle from Tessa
- 60 minutes training with your horse from Karin, choice of groundwork or riding
- Trainability check of your horse by Karin
- Access as a spectator all day, with the opportunity to ask questions to both Karin and Tessa
Other participants are present at the training sessions and can ask questions at appropriate times and in a respectful manner.
As a theory participant you will receive:
- 60 minutes Joker workshop by Tessa, in a group of 4
- Access to all other training sessions as a spectator
- Opportunity to ask questions to both Karin and Tessa
As a spectator you get:
- A super educational and fun day with like-minded people - Access to as many training sessions as you can handle - Opportunity to ask questions to both Karin and Tessa

4D Bootcamp
Have you mastered the basics? Want to learn more?
Then the 4D Bootcamp is the challenge for you and your horse.
During these two intensive days, Karin Leibbrandt and Tessa Roos (Rijkunst in Beweging) will work with you, providing you with plenty of input and a significant boost to continue training at home.
The next steps
The basic principles provide vertical balance and a correct and stable forward-downward tendency, but you probably want to go further than that.
In the 4D Bootcamp, we'll work on more collection and lateral flexion. Once you and your horse can coordinate vertical balance, horizontal balance, lateral flexion, and the direction of the forehand and hindquarters, there's only one more thing to add... and that's energy regulation.
With these 5 principles, you can perform any exercise, from transitions to figures and lateral movements. It doesn't matter what level you're at, because every exercise improves with the right balance and increased support and coordination.
